Watercolour (19th c. French)

19th c. French School Watercolour/Gouache, Le Boudoir

Product Description

This 19th c. French painting is created in the manner of the great 18th century French Rococo watercolorist, Pierre Antoine Baudoin. Baudoin was the soninlaw of Francois Boucher. While removing this piece from its original frame we discovered, beneath the matte, an inscription paying tribute to Baudoin. Finding hidden notes beneath a matte is like finding buried treasure!

Measuring 9 7/8″ by 7 4/8.”
