Watercolor (19th c. French)

19th Century French School Watercolour/Gouache, Le Boudoir

Product Description

The watercolor measures 9 7/8″H by 7 4/8″ W.
Presented in its contemporary frame, this measures 13 1/8″H   by 10 7/8″W.

It is painted in the manner of the 18th century French Rococo artist, Pierre Antoine Baudoin, the soninlaw of Francois Boucher. While removing this piece from its old original frame we discovered, beneath the matte, an inscription paying tribute to the great 18th century French watercolorist Baudoin. Finding this was like finding buried treasure!
