STEPHANE JULES LEON BOUDIN joined Maison Jansen in the early 1920’s and served as its President from 1936-1961.  Boudin is best known for his designs for The Duke and Duchess of Windsor, The Royal Family of Belgium, The White House (for Jacqueline Kennedy), as well as many other clients of prestige. Boudin’s name has become synonymous with the Jansen Style.  His commitment to interpreting 18th-Century French design with historical accuracy, while incorporating elements of the modern aesthetic, brought this international design house to the height of its reign. By the time Boudin was President of Jansen, it was unsurpassed in both its scope and level of excellence. Jansen was certainly the most important Interior Design Firm of the 20th-Century and Stéphane Boudin is considered France’s most important designer.
