Antique Maison Baguès Iron and Cut Crystal Chandelier. 3 feet tall by 27 inches wide

Product Description

A most lovely, circa 1930’s, eight light chandelier by Maison Baguès. The very large and beautiful drop-crystals and large cut crystal flower-heads have become a signature of this esteemed company. Each bobeche supports a single amethyst drop crystal, the other crystals are clear. A few of the upper tier crystals have small chips along their edges, this is only noticeable upon very close inspection. Overall condition is very good. Measuring approximately 3 feet in height and 2 feet 3 inches in width.

Maison Baguès are world renowned for their finest quality glass and iron work. Their lighting has adorned some of the worlds finest hotels and palaces, including Versailles. Even today they create using old master techniques- leaf gilt gold or silver leaf and assembling the crystals by hand, as the company has done since it was founded in Auvergne around 1840.

We are delighted to also offer to our clients contemporary lighting pieces made today by Baguès. These are featured on our page titled, Maison Baguès-The Collection, which can be found in our Furnishings category.
